Pop up watch show

Pop Up Watch Show joins Geneva Watch Days in taking the sting out of cancelled trade fairs

Events will run 10am-9pm every day, and will include WatchApero, a meeting for watch aficionados held by journalist Joel Grandjean on the opening night.

After the news that the new Geneva Watch Days (GWD) show would be going some way to replacing the abandoned Baselworld and Watches and Wonders shows, the Swiss Creative Lab has announced a sister event running alongside Bulgari’s GWD.

The Pop Up Watch Show will take place in the St’Art Contemporary Art Gallery, running from April 26-29.

Events will run 10am-9pm every day, and will include WatchApero, a meeting for watch aficionados held by journalist Joel Grandjean on the opening night.

Swiss Creative Lab is no stranger to events like this. It has been hosting an exhibition in the Basel Hyperion Hotel’s ‘Exhibition Tower’ for the last 11 years.

The new GWD event will likewise take place in a number of Geneva hotels across the same dates as the Pop Up Watch Show.

It is said to have the support of Breitling, Gerald Genta, Girard-Perregaux, MB&F, Ulysse Nardin, De Bethune and Urwerk.
