Pita releases innovative bullhead racing chrono

With looks like these the Pita Barcelona Roadster can only be meant for one purpose, race timing.

The 44mm bullhead racing chronograph, with designs cues on the dial taken from automotive dashboards, features innovative, oversized short-travel pushers for fast response uses lightweight materials in its construction.

Set to be revealed at BaselWorld 2014, which opens its doors to the world’s watch today, the Pita Barcelona Roadster uses clean, minimal design to highlight its technical nature and ensure excellent legibility. Chronograph functions are highlighted in red with time functions registered in black and white whilst the 12mm wide pushers have been designed to adapt to the pads of the wearer’s fingers.
Strap lugs are fitted at different positions top and bottom to angle the dial, improving readability and minimising the need to bend the wrist when looking at the watch.

An Aluminium-Lithium alloy harder and more resistant to corrosion than steel is used for case construction meaning the finished case weighs just 15g.

Cases in Magnesium, steel, Grade 5 Titanium, 18ct Gold or Platinum are also available on request along with a selection of coatings including diamond-like carbon (DLC) as well as engravings and personalisations.

The individually numbered watches, limited to 99 each year are crafted, assembled and hand-?nished by AHCI Master Watchmaker Aniceto Jiménez Pita.
