Pinion prepares for launch

By Hallie Engel

Pinion, a new watch company based in South Oxfordshire, England, will launch at SalonQP with the release its first collection, Axis.

Timepieces from Pinion are designed and assembled in England from bespoke parts sourced from Switzerland and the UK. The company’s name originates from the small gear wheels found in every mechanical timepiece, which often drive the more visible parts, like the hands, in a watch.

Every piece in the Axis collection is fitted with a handmade leather strap and presented in a leather wallet. The watches will be available for order on the Pinion website starting in November and will be delivered in early 2014.

SalonQP takes place in London’s Saatchi Gallery from the November 7 to 9.
