Perrelet adds to First Class line with limited edition Double Rotor Black Edition

The watch is a limited edition of 240 pieces and benefits from patented Double Rotor technology with a double oscillating mass.

Perrelet has introduced the limited edition First Class Double Rotor Black Edition as the latest model in its First Class line.

The watch, a limited edition of 240 pieces, benefits from patented Double Rotor technology with a double oscillating mass that allows the automatic mechanism to accumulate energy from the two rotors.

The first oscillating mass is placed under the calibre, while the second is visible on the dial, allowing the owner to observe the energy supply to the movement.

The synchronised rotation of the rotors feeds the barrel and provides the mechanism with a steady flow of energy, ensuring a high-performance charge.

The First Class Double Rotor Black Edition is presented in a steel case with a 42mm diameter and treated, for the first time in this line, with black PVD.

The case is water-resistant to 50m and its lines are fluid with rounded, bevelled lugs decorated with a vertical satin-brush finish and a contrasting polished bezel.

The middle case is decorated with a combination of polished and brushed grooves as is the crown, which is personalised with an engraved Perrelet logo.

Underneath a slightly domed sapphire crystal is the skeletonised dial allowing a generous view of the manufacture movement.

Calibre P-481 is an automatic movement beating at 28,800 vph with a 42-hour power reserve.

The bridges and plates are rhodium-plated and decorated with a frosted finish, while the double oscillating mass on the dial side is open-worked, rhodium-plated and embellished with a refined Côtes de Genève finish.

One of the rubies in the movement is visible in the centre of the rotor and in addition to avoiding wear and tear from friction, provides a vibrant touch of colour.

The transparent caseback, with an anti-reflective sapphire crystal reveals the main rotor, which is also open-worked, rhodium-plated and engraved with the Perrelet logo.

The central hour, minute and seconds hands are crafted in 4N rose gold as are the double baton markers at 12 o’clock.

The watch is presented with a black crocodile strap and a folding clasp embellished with the brand’s logo and subtle grooves on either side to match the design of the case.
