Patek Philippe: London Watch Show good for trade

Patek Philippe had pledged its support for the London Watch Show, a trade only event due to launch in July 2013, and said it is looking at ways to be involved in the exhibition.

Mark Hearn, managing director for Patek Philippe UK described plans for the London Watch Show as an important opportunity for the British watch community to come together and present their collective creativity and vitality in a trade-only show.

Hearn said: “The creation of the London Watch Show is a great idea at the right time. The watch industry is too often seen as inward looking and unapproachable, and it is vital that innovations like this event come along to help everybody work more closely together.”

The trade-only show takes place on July 2 and 3 at Freemasons’ Hall in London’s Covent Garden. The show is open to retailers, agents, brands, service providers and accredited media.

Watch companies already signed up to the show, which was announced just a few weeks ago, include Bulova, Junghans, Casio, distributor Nuval, Holler, Timex, Suunto, Festina, Glam Rock, Lulu Guinness and strap maker Hirsh.
