Patek Philippe has launched its own official Instagram account for the first time and, 48 hours in, the page has almost 32,000 followers and a blue tick of authenticity from the platform.
The brand debuted on Instagram by showing a preview of an upcoming watch launch at Basel in a jigsaw of 12 images.
The watch is the reference 7234R, the first self-winding travel watch for ladies by Patek Philippe.
It features the calibre 324 S C FUS movement with a 22ct gold rotor.
The timepiece sports a 37.5mm rose gold case and brown sunburst dial. It shows two-time zones with day/night indication at home and a second time zone.
The company also links up to its online watch collection via Instagram and shows off the #PatekTime, showing the brand wants to build some traction on the social media platform.
#PatekTime already has around 922 uses; however these aren’t thanks to the official page but numerous fan pages for the brand. Notably is Patekaholic which has a 350,000 following compared to the official page’s current 32,000.
