Customers at Flannels on London’s Oxford Street will be shocked to encounter a giant bronze octopus reaching up from the floor this month.
The luxury fashion retailer has given space to the creature from the deep, which is actually a promotional installation for Panerai that was first seen on the lower ground floor of Harrods over the summer.
It builds on a year that has seen the Richemont brand open a boutique on London’s Bond Street that was a finalist in the 2018 WatchPro Awards and create a first floor branded space with Berry’s in Leeds.
Flannels customers will be able to buy one of 10 Panerai watches, which were curated by Anish Bhatt, founder of Watchanish, a digital title and social media influencer.
The installation can be seen until November 3.
