Oris has squeezed its former 43.5mm Oris Aquis into a smaller 39.5mm case. The downsize comes as Oris wanted to make a divers’ watch that can also go under the cuff of a dress shirt.
The smaller divers’ collection comes with either a blue or black dial. They can be worn on a rubber strap or steel bracelet.
Inside the new models is an automatic mechanical movement that provides the watch with a sweeping seconds hand and a date indication at 6 o’clock.
The stainless steel case is water-resistant to 300 metres and is equipped with a robust uni-directional rotating diver’s bezel for safely measuring dive times. The bezel has the added benefit of either a polished or matt black ceramic insert.
Swiss retail price is CHF 1,750 (around £1,335) on a strap and CHF 1,950 (around £1,485) on a stainless steel bracelet.
Slim and Sleek. At first glance it looks like Rolex but its wonderful. Cost is attractive as well.
This Aquis is an excellent example of fine watch making
