Oris continues expansion in China

Oris, the Swiss watch brand famous for its diving, aviation and motorsport collections, opened a new boutique in Beijing’s prestigious Oriental Plaza shopping mall last week.

Attended by national and international press and officially unveiled by movie star Nicholas Tse, the opening was complemented by a spectacular event, personally laid on by Oris’ executive chairman, Ulrich W. Herzog.

Herzog and Tse shared ribbon-cutting duties at the glamourous ceremony, which was broadcast by a number of TV stations and followed closely on social media by Tse’s legions of fans.

The Oriental Plaza shopping mall is renowned for accommodating some of the world’s finest international fashion houses and other luxury watch brands, so is therefore seen as the perfect environment for Oris to showcase its range.

The boutique, which also hosts its own dedicated Oris service centre, is another positive step in the Far Eastern market for the brand, which has seen significant development in this part of the world recently.
