Online-Only Watch Retailer of the Year finalists announced for 2016 WatchPro Awards

WatchPro is delighted to announce the finalists in the Online-Only Watch Retailer of the Year category of the 2016 WatchPro Awards.

Retailers in this category must be pure play e-commerce retailers with no physical stores.

The finalists in the WatchPro Awards Online-Only Watch Retailer of the Year category are:

Watcho
Owned by Milton Keynes-based The Watch & Clock Shop, but very much a standalone etailer, Watcho marries traditional service and support with modern digital retailing. It is the effort at personal service over the internet that has made it popular with customers and dozens of brands ranging from Casio to Skagen.

Watch Shop
Everything Aurum Group touches is turning to gold right now, so it is no surprise that its acquisition of online fashion watch giant Watch Shop in 2014 has turned the etailer into a giant that lists 216 brands today. Google almost any of those brands, and Watch Shop will appear at the top. That is the power of scale and the scale of Watch Shop’s power.

First Class Watches
The Watchpro Awards nomination process is invaluable for making us aware of comparatively new retailers that are impressing watch brands for their sales, service and strategy. First Class Watches is a prime example. It was launched by Warwickshire jeweller James Moore & Co, and has gradually built support from customers of almost 80 mid-range brands.

The Watch Hut
Size isn’t everything, but it certainly helps when it comes to being noticed online, which is why The Watch Hut’s offer of 128 fashion watch brands makes it a force to be reckoned with. Same day dispatch, free to the customer, is crucial for a millennial generation that wants everything fast and for free.

The winners of each award will be decided by a private vote among WatchPro readers.

A survey form will be sent on September 26 to a list consisting purely of retail executives, asking them to vote on awards categories concerning watch brands and wholesalers.

A separate survey will be sent on the same day purely to executives in the watch brand and wholesaler community, asking them to vote on awards categories concerning retailers.

The winners will be announced at a spectacular black tie dinner taking place on October 26 at the Globe Theatre in London.
