Less than 17% of WatchPro and Professional Jeweller readers are actively planning to move to a new employer next year, according to the initial findings of our exclusive Salary & Job Satisfaction Survey.
But employers should not be complacent, because an additional 36% don’t know whether they plan to move, and only 46.4% say they will not be actively looking to move.
The full results of the survey will be published in the January edition of WatchPro magazine, and the data for each question will move during the coming two weeks as response continues to come in.

In the first 24 hours, 112 responses have been received, but the data will improve if everybody in the industry is encouraged to take part.
“We are really grateful to everybody that has taken part already. We can already see how useful the results of this survey are going to be to the whole industry, but the more response we get, the more useful it will become,” said Rob Corder, managing director of Professional Jeweller and WatchPro.
“Everybody is going to benefit from the survey, and we urge everybody to take part. This will allow us to drill deeper and deeper into the data so that people can see results broken down by geographical region, job title, business type and more,” Corder added.
