Omega’s new James Bond watch makes prime time appearance on Saturday Night Live

Nobody is entirely clear why this year’s James Bond blockbuster, No Time to Die, was delayed from its scheduled April release to November.

There is clearly a public health consideration with the current Coronavirus outbreak making it prudent to avoid large crowds like a packed cinema.

That may have had an impact on box office receipts for the movie, making the delay a prudent commercial decision.

Speculation is rife that the plot may involve the global spread of a virus, which might have looked in poor taste at the height of the COVID-19 epidemic.

For Omega, which is intimately associated with the 007 franchise, it has pushed back plans for a big splash with a special Seamaster that Daniel Craig is seen wearing in the film.

Not that you would have known that over the weekend, when Mr Craig stuck with a scheduled appearance on America’s Saturday Night Live wearing the £7,390 Seamaster Diver 300M 007 Edition watch.
