Omega will present its 2022 novelties in two seasonal drops, according to a financial statement released by Swatch Group overnight.

“Omega, as timekeeper for the Olympic Winter Games in Beijing, will be present worldwide in the media in February, and in September,” the report states.

Watches and Wonders in Geneva from March 30 to April 5 is hosting Richemont and LVMH watch brands along with Rolex, Patek Philippe, Chopard and Tudor. There will be a total of 39 brands at the exhibition, including a cluster of artisan independents.

Swatch Group has not revealed any plans for how it will launch its new watches in February and September.

It has not held a major multibrand presentation since 2019, the year after it left Baselworld.

Most brands — Rolex being the exception — moved to launching new watches digitally and frequently during the pandemic.

This year looks more normal with most industrial watchmakers concentrating announcements into the first quarter.
