Omega develops new sport-dedicated Seamaster with FedEx Cup champion Rory McIlroy

The brand said it has designed the new line with aim to add more comfort during competition.

Omega has introduced its new Seamaster Aqua Terra Ultra Light.

Designed especially for sport, the brand had the help of its golf ambassador and FedEx Cup champion, Rory McIlroy.

The new line aims to add more comfort during competition as well as further innovation on previous designs.

The case, caseback and crown are fashioned from an alloy called Gamma Titanium – a first for Omega.

The material is used in the aeronautical industry due to its resistant properties and is harder and lighter than conventional titanium.

The watch, which will be worn by some golfers during their Omega Masters training on the green in Crans Montana today, weighs only 55g.

The new watch will be available in red, blue and green and will retail for $48,600 on omegawatches.com and in Omega boutiques nationwide in early 2020.
