Not content with an association with one licensed killer through its James Bond franchise partnership, Omega is promoting its ties with a second, more freelance, hit man: The Jackal.
Eddie Redmayne, a brand ambassador for Omega, stars in the title role of the TV remake of The Day of the Jackal.
The series, which launches on Sky Atlantic tonight (November 7), is set in the present day, rather than following the post-war assassination attempt of French president Charles de Gaulle.
Like the original Frederick Forsyth novel and 1962 movie, Mr Redmayne plays a gun for hire, and the plot follows his high-priced killings and the chase of British intelligence officer Bianca, played by Lashana Lynch.
Omega watches are worn by The Jackal throughout the 10-part series.
His go-to choice, according to Omega, is a Seamaster Railmaster (ref. 220.12.40.20.02.001), a 40mm steel watch worn on a two-tone black textile strap.
This is switched for a 38mm steel Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra Shades (ref. 220.10.38.20.09.001) during his more civilian scenes or a Globemaster in 18ct Sedna Gold with a brown leather strap, which he wears during scenes as Thirsk, one of his alter ego characters.
