Dipples Jeweller, a retail partner of WatchPro, has ensured an “oasis of calm” and always encapsulated business since covid hit our shores.
Managing director, Chris Ellis, explained how this approach alongside embracing covid-safe measures has meant that actually the business and staff have been able to dedicate even more time to customers in each store since the pandemic.
Located in Norwich and in Dereham, Dipples has implemented masks and put screens in place while limiting the number of people in store at any one time to ensure a comfortable environment.
With over 140 years of history, Dipples has established itself as a pre-eminent watch and jewellery business in East Anglia with its Norwich boutique for example, offering over 1500 watches to view at any given time.
Dipples can actually trace its roots back to a watchmaking background, with its founder working as a watchmaker in London before opening his first store.
Commenting on Dipples’ position in the market, Ellis said: “As a leader in the fine jewellery and watch industry, we find that we are frequently able to source limited edition timepieces from all our carried ranges.
“Often, we order these especially for our customers. Just recently for example, we had a customer who was a huge fan of James Bond and we managed to source him a watch with 007 as the limited edition number.”
On business since covid, he added: “In our friendly and relaxed environments, you can step away from the hustle and bustle of our busy lives and enjoy a moment to look and try on some exclusive and fantastic items – or if you would rather, we can carry out Zoom video chats.
