O.W.L seeks opinions on men’s designs

British watch brand O.W.L used its appearance at the London Watch Show this weekend to test the waters for a new men’s collection.

Annette Allen’s brand displayed eight prototype samples aimed at men, a first for the brand. The watches see the traditional O.W.L logo omitted from the dials to appeal to a more masculine audience, however O.W.L’s signature ‘brogue’ pattern leather straps do feature using a premium oiled leather.

O.W.L used the two-day London Watch Show to further test the waters of opinion on the designs and decide whether to proceed with production, a process which led to ‘some great feedback’.

Allen commented on the designs, telling WatchPro.com: “With brogue shoes being a staple part of many men’s shoe collections, we have taken this very British design through onto straps using premium oily leathers. Keeping the brand handwriting was also key to us. The stepped dials, which is a signature of the collection and the branded tab detail, makes the feel of the watches modern with a classic feel.”
