NOMOS Glashütte has won the iF product design award 2013 for its Tangomat GMT Plus watch, a timepiece said to represent a "symbol of modern age" through its design and functions.
This is the second time that NOMOS has scooped the award, having taken home the prize last year for its Zürich watch.
Now the Tangomat has been selected a winner, out of more than 3,000 products, having been chosen by 49 members of an international jury.
The watch, which is based on the elegant design of its Tangente mode, has a second time zone and fresh dial design.
The brand said: “The iF design awards are amongst the most prestigious international design prizes, honouring what are officially designated ‘Symbols of the Modern Age’.
“The Glashütte manufactory is delighted to add the latest prize to an already long list of awards for NOMOS’ Tangente/ Tangomat family”.
The iF product design award marks NOMOS’ 47th award since the year 2000. The ceremony for the awards will take place in Munich in February.
