NOMOS Glashütte’s Orion collection shines in silver and gold

NOMOS Glashütte’s classic, the Orion, has been made available with dials in both silver and gold.

NOMOS Glashütte’s classic, the Orion, has been made available with dials in both silver and gold.

The Orion 33 gold and Orion 38 silver are their full names, with the brand describing their latest releases as perfect for the gifting market.

Wanting to offer some revival to the roaring 20’s, the Orion gives a nod to the original Glashütte design.

Available in two sizes, the watches are aimed at a wide market with the smaller version giving a feminine gold, while its larger silver cousin, bearing golden indexes, can be worn by men and women alike.

Their dials are polished and galvanized (gold-and white silver-plated, respectively), with the faceted applied indexes.

For the Orion 33, it has evolved from the original design with the case now being made of steel instead of silver, and the dial in this version is gold-plated. The back is made from sapphire crystal glass.

Glashütte described the Orion 38 silver as being able to do silver anytime, but stress “it can also do gold.”
