Watchpro awards 2

Last chance to nominate for the 2021 WATCHPRO Awards

Entries close for nominations to this year’s WATCHPRO Awards on Friday, September 17.

Nominations for this year’s WATCHPRO Awards close on Friday.

After a covid-inflicted absence from last year’s calendar, WATCHPRO Awards roars back in November with a gala event that promises to bring the industry together for much needed reflection and celebration of its endurance, adaptability, compassion, business skill and strength.

This year’s format and venue are the same as in 2019, so we will be gathering again in the stunning Victorian ballroom of 8 Northumberland, which has space for 330 VIP guests.

The only significant changes are that for 2021 we will be honouring the achievements of a two year period from autumn 2019 to this summer.

That means stores that have been opened or refurbished since September 2019 can be nominated for awards, and the achievements of leading retailers — independents and multiples — and the brands that supply them will all be judged on their performance through the roller-coaster period we have endured.

Nominations are open now. This is an opportunity for brands, suppliers and retailers to make their case for why they should make it onto the list of finalists that will be judged by their industry peers.

A reminder, should you need it, that every executive in the British watch business gets a vote in the WATCHPRO Awards. Retailers vote for the brands they most admire and brands vote for the retailers that have impressed them most.

Nominating could not be easier. Simply e-mail your suggestion to rob.corder@itp.com stating the brand, retailer, individual or team you would like to propose, and a brief description of why the nominee should be considered.

Supporting evidence can include photography, facts and figures, reviews from the public and testimonials.

Deadline for nominations is September 17, so do not delay, and the list of finalists on which the industry will vote will be published in the October edition of WATCHPRO and online at WATCHPRO.com.
