Nixon acquires Nixon.com domain from US government

Nixon has launched its summer campaign with a new website and new range of watches, having been able to buy up Nixon.com, which was previously a US government-restricted site.

Now Nixon Inc. has taken ownership of Nixon.com and has re-launched its site under the new domain name. It is said to have “one goal in mind” – to elevate its users’ experience of the brand online.

A release from the brand said: “Whether you are a first time visitor, a returning customer, or a die-hard fan of the brand the new website increases engagement upon every visit.

“Expanded product photography and video, real-time team and event updates and enhanced customer service are a few of the many upgrades reflected on Nixon.com”.

The site was also named “Site of the Day” by Design Licks, an organisation which highlights innovative website deisgn.

Additional updates and functionality to the site include rich product imagery, expanded product stories, product search and filtering capabilities, social media integration, photo and video albums, brand and product highlights and curated ‘Nixon Favourites’.

The brand was founded in 1998 in California and dubs itself “the premium watch and accessories brand for the youth lifestyle market, focused on making the little stuff better”.

As a brand it is distributed in more than 70 countries and its product range includes men’s and women’s watches, softgoods, leather goods, custom headphones and audio accessories.
