German watch manufacturer Junghans has announced that its distribution in the UK will now be handled by The Blue Company London.
The company already distributes on behalf of Glycine and Mühle Glashütte in the UK and will take on responsibility for Junghans as of June 1.
Junghans, which was established in 1861, specialises in radio-controlled watch technology as well as a collection of mechanical watches.
Monica Porracin, director of The Blue Company London, explained the firm’s stable of brands were selected for “their originality, integrity and appeal to the modern watch customer.”
Porracin describes Junghans, a brand perhaps best known for its Bauhaus-inspired watch collection designed by the late architect and artist Max Bill, as a “hidden gem” in the UK.
Junghans was previously represented in the UK by Luxury DeGrees.
