Nomos Glashütte has revealed a new timepiece in celebration of the company’s 175th anniversary.

The movement inside the Ludwig neomatik 39 – 175 Years Watchmaking Glashütte is built to chronometer standards, which the company notes is how experts would say “highly precise”.

Limited to just 175 pieces, and powered by an ultra-thin automatic caliber regulated to chronometer standards, Nomos said the watch defines both ‘accuracy’ and ‘lightweight’.

“The wearer should be able to feel the watch on their wrist,” wrote the company in a statement, discussing its satisfying weighting, “but it shouldn’t be a burden.”

Head of watch assembly, Lennart Kluge, added: “A Nomos watch isn’t a weight. It’s a subtle reminder of the time, available whenever you need it.”

It comes with an enamel-white dial, blue-tempered leaf hands, and a classical railroad track minute scale.

Owners can also expect sapphire crystal glass with anti-reflective coating on inner side, as well as a remborde strap, crafted from Horween Genuine Shell Cordovan.
