Net-A-Porter adds Chopard watches to its luxury women’s fashion portal

Chopard watches and jewellery will be sold online for the first time at Net-A-Porter this week.

On October 11, the Swiss luxury maison will introduce its Happy Diamonds family of jewellery and watches, its Happy Dreams jewellery collection, and its Happy Sport watches.

“We are delighted and excited to be partnering with Net-A-Porter. Chopard is proud to work alongside such an influential retailer and looks forward to what will no doubt be a great success,” says Caroline Scheufele, co-president of Chopard.

Elizabeth Von Der Goltz, global buying director at Net-A-Porter, expects the entry-level Chopard collections to be an immediate winner with the etailer’s well-healed female client base.

“Net-A-Porter is thrilled to be launching a truly exquisite collection from an iconic house. Chopard’s signature Happy Diamonds is the playful and innovative core of its jewellery and watches collection. We know our woman will love every piece and we expect the brand to become an instant hit with our customers globally,” she says.

The Happy Sport watch, which is one of Chopard’s best-sellers, will be central to the launch this week. Entry-level steel models sell for as little as £4070 on the Chopard UK website, although the range includes gold and steel editions priced above £10,000.

Net-A-Porter has not made a major impact in the watches market, despite being partly owned by Richemont Group even after its sale to Yoox in 2015.

It currently offers a limited range of watches from Gucci, Larsson & Jennings, IWC, Piaget and Tiffany.
