Ever keen to associate its name with iconic figures, Hublot has now created a watch to pay tribute to the late Nelson Mandela.
In collaboration with the House of Mandela foundation (which commemorates the life of the ex-South African President and anti-apartheid revolutionary), the Swiss watch brand has unveiled the Classic Fusion House of Mandela watch.
Hublot CEO, Ricardo Guadalupe, commented: "It is an honour for us to have been able to create this piece as a tribute to such an important figure as Nelson Mandela, who has made a lasting mark on the history of humanity. The Classic Fusion House of Mandela is a way for us to ensure the philosophy and actions of this great man continue to live on."
Crafted in 18ct king gold, the timepiece is available in two models: a 45 mm diameter men’s model and a 42 mm diameter women’s model with a bezel set with 35 diamonds.
The special edition watch is limited to just 95 pieces, one for each year of Mandela’s life.
