My Flash Trash takes on Casio as first watch brand

Online jewellery boutique My Flash Trash has taken stock of its first watch brand – Casio – as it looks to expand its product portfolio.

The site, run by Made in Chelsea’s Amber Atherton, was launched two years ago and has since evolved to stock more than 30 brands, has its own jewellery collections and runs a boutique in The W Hotel in London.

My Flash Trash has added three Casio timepieces to its offer, called the Tokyo Trio. The stainless steel, yellow and rose gold plated watches tap into the continued consumer demand for retro-inspired digital watches.

Atherton said: "We have been looking into launching our first watch brand for a while and a chance meeting with the Casio marketing director a year ago set the ball rolling.

"We are looking to expand and hopefully create our own design of watches."

The designs are said to be proving popular already. My Flash Trash plans to host a VIP party at the end of January to celebrate the launch.

My Flash Trash yesterday announced a second round of angel investment for the business, valuing it at $5 million (£3.1m).
