Montegrappa opens first boutique in Saudi Arabia

The company famous for making the world’s most expensive pen and bringing a sense of cinematic scale to writing instruments and watches has opened its first boutique in Saudi Arabia.

Giuseppe Aquila, CEO of Italian manufacturer Montegrappa, cut the ribbon with Ahmed Shaheen, general manager of Paris Gallery, at the boutique located at the Kingdom Centre in Riyadh.

Aquila said of the opening: “Montegrappa’s products have witnessed a considerably high demand in the Middle Eastern markets, especially here in Saudi Arabia, where our customers are true connoisseurs of luxury and appreciate our craftsmanship”.

Founded in 1912, Montegrappa is Italy’s first manufacturer of luxury writing instruments. The company continues to operate in the same historic building in Bassano del Grappa in the Italy’s Veneto region.

In recent years the brand has become famed for a series of epic, limited edition pens based on iconic figures from the 20th Century including Elvis Presley, Nelson Mandela, Bruce Lee and Frank Sinatra and has also introduced a line of watches and accessories.
