Montblanc signs five year as official timekeeper at Goodwood Festival of Speed

SIHH visitors saw a slew of watches from Montblanc with a strong motor racing theme, and now the brand is promoting its change of gears into precision timekeepers by signing a five year partnership deal with the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

The four day event, Britain’s biggest motor racing festival, ended yesterday (July 2)

The Richemont brand will be the Official Timing Partner of the Goodwood Festival through to 2021, and this year saw the Montblanc Timewalker collection presented with a special exhibition at the event.

Visitors to the Festival were able to explore the new collection, inspired by the spirit of racing within the BMW Stable Yard, located in a prime position next to the Goodwood House.

The pieces on show included haute horology along the core collection timepieces.

Highlights included the Montblanc TimeWalker Chronograph Rally Timer Counter limited to only 100 pieces and based on the famous Minerva Rally Timer of the 1960s, as well as the TimeWalker ExoTourbillon Minute Chronograph Limited Edition that combines two of the most significant chronometric complications: Montblanc’s exclusive in-house patented one-minute ExoTourbillon with a quick stop-second mechanism and a monopusher chronograph and the Montblanc TimeWalker Chronograph 1000 that measures to an interval of 1000th of a second.
