Montblanc is bridging the gap between sub-$500 smartwatches from Apple and Samsung and premium offerings from the likes of Louis Vuitton and TAG Heuer with a fitness focused Summit Lite costing £715.
It runs Wear OS by Google, making it a platform for thousands of apps, plus Montblanc has developed its own suite of wellness services including Cardio Coach, which gives personalized workout recommendations based on your current fitness level; Body Energy, which tracks mental and physical exhaustion and incorporates data from sleep, activity and stress measurements.
“With the renewed focus on health, fitness, mindfulness and wellbeing we are witnessing today, our goal was to create a smartwatch that had just the right tools to support its owner throughout the day, in a way that was instinctive and effortless for today’s business lifestyle customer. Named Summit Lite after its lightweight design, it aligns with its wearer’s activities and is built for high performing individuals who are constantly on the move and blend their workout routine with their work routine,” explains Nicolas Baretzki, Montblanc CEO.
Summit Lite’s 1.19“AMOLED touch screen comes in a 43mm case made from recycled aluminium and stainless steel.
There are versions in a matte black or matte silver-grey finish paired with either a fabric or rubber strap.
It is sold in a recycled aluminium case.
