Montblanc hosting virtual exhibition at Harrods

Montblanc is hosting an augmented reality virtual exhibition in the windows of Harrods in London, as a fresh and interactive way of grabbing consumer attention in the run up to Christmas.

The brand has taken over window space at the legendary department store and is inviting shoppers to virtually view its Cutting Edge Art Collection of timepieces, a collection housed in a permanent exhibition in Hamburg, Germany.

Shoppers will be able to view exclusive and special edition timepieces through augmented reality technology, by holding up their smartphones or tablet devices, pointing them at a specific image displayed in one of the Montblanc windows at Harrods.

A virtual store will also be part of the experience, selling four exclusive products from Montblanc including watches. The Cutting Edge Art Collection augmented reality experience will run at Harrods until November 24.
