Montblanc creates new line from lost box of calibres

The recently rediscovered 38 original Minerva MB M62.00 calibres were made in 2003, and have now been given a new lease of life in a limited edition collection

Montblanc has found a new use for a recently rediscovered box of 38 original Minerva MB M62.00 calibres from 2003.

The new Montblanc Heritage Small Second Limited Edition 38 utilises the rediscovered calibres.

Inspired by 1950s Minerva timepieces, the watches have a vintage design and bear the Minerva name in a ‘secret signature’.

The creation features a 39mm stainless steel case, a distinctive lacquered two-tone salmon dial and a matching grey Sfumato alligator strap. The piece is also watertight at up to 50m.

The timepiece sells for £15,900.
