Mondaine has given its Classic model a modern transformation, giving it a full metal makeover.
As the first ever Official Swiss Railway watch to be made, those behind the brand say it was vital to offer a modern twist on the timeless piece, while retaining its core design credentials.
The Classic SBB watch face has now been teamed with a slightly chunky looking stainless steel metal bracelet and gives a nod to 70s retro in doing so.
This metallic addition comes in 3 colour-ways with different face shades to match each watch style.
The stainless steel model with its brushed matt metal makeover features Mondaine’s traditional SBB white dial with black hour and minute markers and sweeping red-dot seconds hand for a monochrome look.
For a more dominant twist, the stainless steel brushed strap and case coupled with the reversed black out SBB watch face is also available.
Dipped in gold and brushed for a more opulent choice, the SBB dial has also been given a brushed sliver metallic update with a sheen that gives extra highlight to the polished gold hour indices and hands.
All the new Mondaine Classic metal retro styles come in 2 case sizes – 36mm and 40mm – and are fitted with the easy quick-change watch system.
The 36mm is priced from £215 to £229 while the 40mm ranges from £225 – £239.
