MICROBRANDS: Singapore’s Lytt Labs reinvents watch hands for its Inception Prodigy collection

Traditional-style hour and minute hands are replaced with disc-based pointers.

Singaporean microbrand Lytt Labs has added three models to its Inception Prodigy family of watches.

The business was founded by Edwin Seah, who describes himself as an accomplished timepiece collector and modern electronics-industry professional.

The latest Inception Prodigy models use the same cushion-shaped case as the first collection that launched last year, but have been given an urban feel through uses of finishes like gunmetal grey.

Traditional-style hour and minute hands are replaced with disc-based pointers.

Seconds can be measured either via the arrow on the disc-based hand or through a small window to a numeric indicator track, which is printed underneath the seconds hand disc.

They come in 45mm wide square steel cases housing Seiko NH35 automatic movements.

Prices range from $479 to $529.
