Michel Herbelin has revived its Inspiration line of classical automatics for 2020 and added a contemporary mocha-coloured dial to the family.
Inspiration watches were first launched by the French firm in 2017 as part of its 70th anniversary celebration.
They draw design signatures from the post-war 1950s when people were just starting to embrace small luxuries as they emerged from austerity across Europe.
The three-handers with date come in polished 40mm steel cases with their crowns set with an onyx cabochon.
The mocha dials, described as fairly dark brown with a touch of chocolate and a dash of milk, are protected below sapphire glass.
They are powered by the reliable Sellita SW 200-1 movement with a Michel Herbelin-engraved oscillating weight that is visible through a transparent caseback.
The collection is on sale for £675 at Michel Herbelin’s ecommerce site, where customers can also find their nearest stockists.
