MGS Distribution has reported a sales surge of 46% in the last year for the nine brands that make up its portfolio, according to Steve Brydon, commercial director for the group.
The overall market for the midmarket licensed watch sector grew by 7% over the same period.
MGS Distribution is home to licensed watch brands including Hugo Boss, Juicy Couture, Lacoste, Tommy Hilfiger, Coach, Ebel and Movado.
The distributor has doubled sales in the past four years, and plans to accelerate that growth so that it doubles again in the next three years.
“The growth we have enjoyed has allowed us to invest more heavily in supporting, advertising and promoting our brands further still. We have had to recruit and increase the size of the teams on our Coach, Boss and Movado brands and have furtherer support our other brands by increasing the visual merchandising team by 20%,” Mr Brydon explained.
