Nomos Metro neomatik 39

Nomos Glashütte has earned its 7th iF Design Award; this year for its Metro neomatik 39 silvercut.

The jury selected the bestselling Nomos timepiece, which is equipped with a proprietary automatic DUW 3001, from among 6,400 products from 54 countries.

Metro was designed by Mark Braun for Nomos, who expains the aesthetic and architecture: “The tips of the hands resemble the Empire State Building in New York; the diamond knurling on the crown is a tribute to the watchmaking tools from Glashütte,” he says.

The sapphire crystal glass is slightly curved, while the dial is brushed horizontally with a silver-gray finish.

The DUW 3001 allows the timepiece to be ultra thin and highly precise. “That the expert jury are so impressed by Metro makes us immensely proud”, says Nomos creative director, Judith Borowski.
