Meistersinger adds central date display to Neo Pointer line

It means that the watch has two hands, one for the date and one for the hours, a rare departure for the famous maker of single-handed timekeepers.

Meistersinger has added a central date dial to its latest model, the Neo Pointer Date.

It means that the watch has two hands, one for the date and one for the hours, a rare departure for the famous maker of single-handed timekeepers.

Date displays at the center of a dial are nothing new, in fact they were commonplace before date windows first appeared.

“The design follows the Meistersinger principle of not showing the current moment individually but in context, providing an overview of both the weekly and the monthly course of events, just like the open date rings on the Perigraph or the Pangaea Day Date,” the company explains.

The Neo Pointer Date comes in either 36mm or a plus size 40mm steel case housing Sellita’s SW 200-1 automatic movement.

There are versions with an opaline white dial and another in sunburst blue.

They are on sale now priced at around €1,300.
