Maxim Black II hot on the heels of sold out model

The original Maxim Black might have sold out but fans of Du Maurier Watches who missed out now have the opportunity to own a redesigned successor.
Brand co-founder Ned du Maurier has tweaked the design for the Maxim Black II with a new, cleaner small seconds dial with indices rather than numerals. The watch retains the same black multi-textured, multi-layered dial, stainless steel case and polished markers.
Pre-orders are now being taken and deliver is expected next week.
The Maxim model was designed to reflect the characteristics of main protagonist of Daphne du Maurier’s novel Rebecca; offering an elegant timepiece suitable for both day and evening wear.
Customers quickly exhausted the limited run of the Maxim Black, with just 50 pieces being created. Du Maurier then offered the final piece as the prize of a Facebook-based competition.
The Swiss-made Maxim Black II is available for customer pre-orders priced at £445 and the watch is available on black, brown or blue leather straps.
