Maurice Lacroix marks 40 years with prototype sale

Maurice Lacroix launches into its 40th anniversary celebrations tomorrow with an auction of 40 unique pieces.

Auction house Antiquorum will hold a 15-day private online sale of unique Maurice Lacroix watches through its new ecommerce platform, the Antiquorum Watch Boutique, which offers fixed priced sales.

The sale will open tomorrow evening with a gala evening at Antiquorum’s head office in Geneva.

Maurice Lacroix’s research and development work over the past five decades has lead to the creation of many concept prototypes never intended for sale and now these watches will be offered to collectors in four categories: Iconic, Innovation, Glamour and Design.

The sale includes three early versions the brand’s square wheel concept that now feature in its Masterpiece collection and no fewer than four unique versions of the Pontos S Extreme.

Stéphane waser, managing director of Maurice Lacroix, said: “This project between Maurice Lacroix and Antiquorum will be an opportunity to celebrate 40 years of passion for fine watchmaking through a representative selection of unique watches of the brand, presented exclusively in a private sale on our new e-commerce platform, Antiquorum Watch Boutique – a world entirely dedicated to collectors.”
