Maurice Lacroix says it is delighted to welcome triathlete Javier Gómez Noya to its circle of friends.

The brand says the group of talented individuals comes from different domains but all share the same vision to surpass their goals.

Javier Gómez Noya is no stranger to success. Nine-time world champion, the Spaniard, born in Basel, Switzerland, has been honing his skills since the age of 15 and has enjoyed remarkable success. A

He explains: “I give my best in training everyday. But just like any job, I have good days and bad days. My determination has paid off and has allowed me to go beyond my limits.

“In my professional role, time defines my performance. In my private life, time is something I share with loved ones.”

When discussing the tempo of a watch, Javier remembers a time that predates his athletics career.

He details: “For my father, wearing his watch was a source of pride… he wore a Maurice Lacroix. The brand is aimed at urban, connected and determined individuals; something that describes me perfectly. Moreover, the AIKON is sporty, stylish, accessible…attributes I appreciate, making it the kind of watch I like to wear.”

It is his ‘never give up’ attitude that appealed to Stéphane Waser, Managing Director, who commented: “We support talented individuals who recognise that the only limits in life are those set by ourselves. Javier clearly subscribes to this mindset. In addition, he has an emotional bond with our brand, based on his childhood memories of his father’s watch.

“With his attributes and the values he shares with our brand, we had to invite him to join our circle of friends.”
