Californians Duncan and Malcolm Campbell changed the face of surfing in the 1970s with a new design of surfboard, known as the Bonzer, that was faster, more maneuverable and easier to ride.

French watchmaker March LA.B (the LA stands for Los Angeles and the B for French surfing city of Biarritz), is recalling those heady days with the addition of the Bonzer to its Surfing range of urban sports watches.

Bonzer is a full collection with brushed steel, blue, green and black dialed models that can be worn on a steel bracelet or straps made from leather or silicon.

An aluminium notched diver’s bezel frames the three handed dial with its batton hours and date at 6 o’clock.

All watches use a 41mm steel case housing an automatic Miyota 9015 movement.

They go on sale this month for €1,195 on a strap or €1,345 on the steel bracelet.
