LVMH appoint Magada as new Zenith boss

LVMH has appointed Breitling’s former international sales and business director as the new boss of Zenith Watches.

Aldo Magada will take on the role of chief executive officer and president in July after the top spot was left vacant in April. Former chief executive officer Jean-Frederique Dufour was announced as the new CEO of Rolex in April.

Magada grew up in Switzerland and is married with two children. After starting his career at a pharmaceutical company he joined the watch industry in 1984, taking a position with Swatch.

He moved on to Piaget and then Omega, where he was product director and marketing director alongside Jean-Claude Biver, the current head of LVMH’s watchmaking division and Magada’s new boss, between 1994 and 1998.

In 2000, he became president of Gucci Time Pieces and between 2002 and 2009 he led Technomarine, Reuge and Badollet before founding a consulting firm. Magada has been Breitling’s international sales and business development director at Breitling since 2010.
