Family-run independent jeweller Burrells will open a new fine jewellery and watch shop in the heart of the ancient and historic city of Winchester.
The company’s current flagship in Tunbridge Wells specialises in affordable luxury watch brands including Brietling, Bremont, Longines, Omega, Tag Heuer and Zenith.
The jeweller regularly hosts events for watch enthusiasts. Its latest, in June, was an evening with Tudor watches that welcomed superbike racing legend Carl Fogerty.
Recently named the ‘Best Place to Live in Britain’ by The Sunday Times, the Ferris family have selected Winchester for its close associations to the company, which has its roots in the South coast town.
Burrells Jewellers managing director Edward Ferris comments: “It’s always thrilling opening a new shop, especially when it’s in your home town. We are delighted to be bringing Burrells and an extensive collection of prestigious brands to Winchester. There will be a new design concept for the store, which will include a private shopping suite.”
The store marks the second Burrells store in the group’s portfolio, following the business’ takeover of Burrells in Tunbridge Wells in 2014.
