Lunn’s to open Northern Ireland’s first Rolex monobrand boutique in 2019

Premium Belfast jeweller invests £1 million in the showroom as part of a major restoration of the city’s Queen’s Arcade.

Luun’s Jewellers is investing £1 million pounds in the creation of a monobrand Rolex boutique at the entrance to Belfast’s Queen’s Arcade.

The store is expected to open in the spring of 2019 and is part of a wider refurbishment and restoration of the iconic shopping arcade, which is owned by the jeweller.

Rolex will also work with Lunn’s to create an accredited workshop that will allow the jeweller to fully service Rolex models on site with a two-year guarantee endorsed by the brand.  It will be the only dedicated workshop in Northern Ireland with access to genuine certified Rolex parts.

Peter Lunn, chairman of Lunn’s Jewellers, said the brand’s arrival will provide a boost for the city’s retail offering and a new attraction for the international tourists who are increasingly visiting Belfast. “The decision by Rolex to open in Belfast is a huge endorsement for the city. Rolex is one of the world’s true super-brands and to have their store on Donegall Place, the city’s main retail thoroughfare, is a major expression of confidence. The store will offer customers a truly immersive experience of the brand,” he says.

“We are also very excited to be opening a fully accredited Rolex workshop, which will help owners to maintain the value and ensure the quality of their watches by having them serviced by skilled technicians on site at Queen’s Arcade. It represents a big investment in Rolex parts and machinery, but we believe it is an essential part of the authentic Rolex experience.”

Richard de Leyser, managing director, Rolex UK, adds: “I’m delighted that Lunn’s continues to invest in our partnership and excited at the prospect of expanding the Rolex offering in Queen’s Arcade. The plans to extend the space dedicated to Rolex and provide a new and engaging customer experience will perfectly position Lunn’s to meet the challenges of a rapidly changing retail environment. The contemporary space will complement the historic architecture of Queen’s Arcade and provide a fitting home for Rolex.  We are proud to partner Lunn’s in this new development which will further enhance the unrivalled service to our customers in Northern Ireland.”
