Luminox is celebrating the impressive win by its brand ambassador Tony Kanaan.
One of the world’s most well-known Indy drivers, Kanaan won the Indianapolis-based race in his Chevy powered Dellara car on his 11th attempt at the title. He celebrated in the century honoured tradition of dousing himself in milk.
"It’s such a pleasure to see Tony capture the "holy grail" of Indy racing, and get this Indy 500 win to add to his impressive resume," said Luminox founder Barry Cohen, with whom Tony works on his watch designs. "Truly, it could not have happened to a nicer guy."
Continuing their collaboration, Luminox recently released the fourth TK Limited Edition Series. The new racing chronograph watch features the driver’s racing colours of green and yellow and number 11, the black leather strap has white racing stripes to match the white enamel dial with its chequered flag motif.
