Louis Vuitton opens dedicated Paris store

Louis Vuitton has opened a store dedicated solely to watches and jewellery at 23, place Vendôme in Paris.

The luxury goods brand has also set up its first fine jewellery workshop, in a space that contains antique workbenches that have been used by successive generations of craftsmen.

Yves Carcelle, Louis Vuitton president said: “We are happy to open our first store dedicated to jewellery and watches on the Place Vendôme in Paris and we are proud to also open our first workshop in the cradle of haute joaillerie. Here our craftsmen will be able to create truly exceptional pieces.”

Peter Marino was selected for the interior decoration of the premises. He said: “Each piece of jewellery tells a story, so the décor should be self-effacing and allow room for dialogue and the visitor’s dreams.”

The store is a few metres away from the historic address of 4, rue Neuve des Capucines, where Louis Vuitton set up his first store in 1854.
