Longines invites gents to pull on a dinner jacket and strap on a Tuxedo

Latest Longines Heritage Classic Tuxedo watches come dressed with a sharp, monochrome look inspired by the 1940s.

Picture the post-war excitement of the late 1940s, particularly for those that survived with their finances intact.

Jazz bars buzzed with men and women dressed up for a big night out and people started to spend as consumerism was reborn.

This is the era that Longines is looking back to with the launch of two Heritage Classic Tuxedo watches, a three-hander and a chronograph dressed in sharp, monochrome style.

The three-hander, with central hours and minutes hands and a seconds sub dial at 6 o’clock, is slightly smaller at 38.5mm.

It uses the L893.5 automatic movement in a steel case with an opaline and matt black dial.

The 40mm chronograph uses the same materials and color palette but is sportier with a tachymeter scale, left and right subdials and a central blue chronograph hand powered by the L895.5 automatic movement.
