Longines has added blue and brown editions to its Longines Legend Diver Watch, part of its Heritage collection of modern reinterpretations of historic classics.
The Legend Diver Watch first reappeared in 2007 as a tribute to the brand’s first commercial dive watches, which began launching in 1958 and grew as a portfolio through the 1960s.
The modern day collection, including the blue and brown models that have been unveiled this week, adopt the spirit and style of the mid-century originals while benefiting from up-to-date technical characteristics such as a box-shaped sapphire glass, two screw-in crowns, a screw-down case back and an automatic movement with a silicon balance spring made exclusively for Longines.
Current watches are water resistant to 300 meters.
2021’s blue and brown shaded dials have luminous hands, hour markers interspersed with luminescent squares and Arab numerals enhanced with Super-LumiNova rectangles for optimum visibility.
Like original models, the 42mm watch’s case back is decorated with an embossed emblem of a diver.
All Longines watches with silicon balance springs now come with a 5-year warranty.
