London Watch Show drawing high number of retailers

Britain’s community of watch professionals are flocking to register for the inaugural London Watch Show.

With two months to go until the doors open at the exhibition on July 2, registrations are flooding in, and may need to be capped before the show opens.

“We encourage people to register now because this is a boutique, secure, trade-only show that does have a limit on capacity,” said Daniel Malins, event director for the London Watch Show.

Analysis of the current list of registered visitors shows well over half of all attendees are either from the media or from retailers.

39% of registrations are from retailers “evaluating watches for my store,” 19% say they are “writers with an interest in watches; 19% are “potential exhibitors,” and 18% “represent a watch brand.”

The London Watch Show also shows an encouraging geographical spread among registered visitors, with just over half of attendees travelling from outside the M25.

“All evidence to date shows that we will exceed the expectations of exhibitors and visitors at this hugely exciting new event,” said Malins.

The London Watch Show takes place at Freemasons’ Hall in Central London on July 2-3. The WatchPro Hot 100 party takes place on July 2 at Altitude 360, one of London’s highest event venues on the banks of the River Thames in Westminster.
