London Watch Show and WATCHPRO Salon collaborate to boost collecting in the capital

Luxury pre-owned show and prestige new watch salon will work together to make London the watch collecting capital of the world.

The London Watch Show’s inaugural outing attracted a staggering 3,200 attendees over two days earlier this month, with 100 exhibitors from around the world presenting luxury pre-owned watches to avid collectors and enthusiasts.

The event was postponed from last year, and demonstrated the strength of pent-up demand for vintage and certified pre-owned timepieces.

As well as a successful physical event, the organiser is a master at digital marketing and generated global exposure for the event through social media and YouTube influencers that attended the show.

That expertise is now being put to work promoting WATCHPRO Salon, which takes place from November 12 to 13 at The Londoner Hotel on Leicester Square.

Together, The London Watch Show and WATCHRPO Salon will collaborate to build a suite of events that bring together new and pre-owned watch businesses presenting their treasures to trade, press, influencers and consumers.

“I have always believed strongly in collaboration between the complementary new and pre-owned markets. Passionate collectors are always looking at what to sell to make way for their next new or pre-owned watch purchase while a new breed of traders is profiting from the soaring value of certain references,” says WATCHPRO co-founder Rob Corder.

“WATCHPRO Salon and The London Watch Show working together makes perfect sense today. We complement each other in just the same way new and pre-owned watch businesses. Together, we will grow, educate and entertain the community of collectors and enthusiasts in London and the rest of the UK,” he adds.

WATCHPRO will promote The London Watch Show as it looks towards 2022, while LWS will be a digital partner for the Salon and will be bringing its video team down to film the event, interview brands and generate live coverage at the event.
